September 26, September 28: Journalist Walter Dean presents screenings of Good Night and Good Luck in Almaty and Astana.
October 4, October 11: Guest conductor Emily Freeman Brown conducts concerts at the National Music Academy in Astana and the Grand Organ Hall of the Conservatoire, Almaty.
November 8, 18:30: John Ferguson, American Voices jazz project, Jazz Bridges Kazakhstan, featuring pianist Mike del Ferro and vocalist Deborah Brown, in concert at the Presidential Cultural Center, Astana.
November 14: New Embassy Dedication Ceremony, Astana. - Exhibition of three quilts on the theme of freedom and multiculturalism to be exhibited in the embassy atrium.
- Exhibition of children's art curated by guest curator Roberta Sajda. Art by children who participated in Sajda's workshops conducted as part of the U.S. State Department Art Education Program.
