U.S. Citizen Services

The U.S. Embassy Branch Office in Almaty is pleased to announce the extension of working hours for the American Citizen Services unit.
 
The new schedule is:

Monday:  2 – 4 pm


Tuesday to Friday: 1 – 4 pm

The American Citizen Services (ACS) unit of the Consular section provides information and assistance to U.S. citizens in Kazakhstan. Please refer to the menu on the left for information about the services provided.

In the case of a life or death emergency involving a U.S. citizen call (8-727) 250-4901 (011-7-727-250-4901 from the U.S.) during business hours.  After hours or on weekends, call (8-717) 270-2200 (011-7-717-270-2200 from the U.S.) and ask for the duty officer.

Routine passport services and notarials are performed Monday from 14:00 - 16:00 and Tuesday to Friday from 13:00 - 16:00 in Almaty and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14:00 - 16:00 in Astana.  Closed on American and Kazakhstani holidays.  Americans can register their stay in Kazakhstan online.
