Non-Immigrant Visas

MAKE APPOINTMENT

Statue of LibertyAmerican immigration regulations require nearly all visa applicants throughout the world to appear in person at an embassy or consulate for an interview prior to visa issuance.

Each applicant should come to the interview prepared to explain his or her purpose in traveling to the United States. Applicants should also be prepared to explain how they will finance their visit to the U.S.

WHEN TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW

Please make sure to allow ample time before your intended date of travel, taking into account a possible delay in issuing an approved visa. We welcome early appointment requests. If you need an expedited appointment, please see below.

Please take into account courier delivery times when scheduling an appointment.  Applicants in Astana, Almaty and Atyrau must submit applications to DHL at least two business days before their scheduled interview date.  Applicants submitting their applications in all other cities in Kazakhstan must allow four business days for their applications to reach the Embassy.

Please print TWO copies of your appointment letter. You will need to give one to the courier service with your completed application and you will need to bring one with you on the day of the interview.

Please DO NOT book more than one appointment per person.  All duplicate entries will be cancelled and the applicant will not be notified. Each visa applicant requires a separate booking.

HOW TO RE-SCHEDULE/CANCEL AN INTERVIEW

If you need to re-schedule an interview AFTER you have submitted your application to the courier service, you may do so for any date within 30 days of your original appointment.  Please bring both your new and original appointment letters to the Embassy on the day of you interview.  You cannot change appointment cities (Almaty to Astana or vice-versa) after you have submitted your application.  Passports are automatically returned to the applicant 30 days after the initial appointment date.
