U.S. Embassy Improves Visa Fee Collection Procedure

October 20, 2009

The United States Embassy in Kazakhstan is pleased to announce its new partnership with ATF Bank for the collection of non-immigrant visa fees.  As of October 20, 2009, nonimmigrant visa applicants will pay their visa application fee at any ATF Bank branch office location throughout Kazakhstan, rather than having to pay at the embassy.  This new process will make the visa application process more efficient and will provide greater convenience to many Kazakhstani citizens.  For instance, this new procedure brings the embassy one step closer to being able to allow  returning visa applicants to renew their visas without appearing in person at the U.S. Embassy Consular Sections in Almaty and Astana.  This change also allows applicants to pay their application fees in local currency.
