General McNabb Visits Astana

General Duncan J. McNabb, commander of the United States Transportation Command, will visit Astana May 4-5. He will meet with Kazakhstani government officials and military officers to thank them for allowing commercial transit of non-lethal supplies for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. The general also will tour Astana to become more familiar with the city and Kazakhstani culture.
Gen. McNabb’s visit builds upon the strong strategic partnership that already exists between Kazakhstan and the United States and highlights the importance of the partnership for regional security.
