U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Visits Kazakhstan

On October 28-31, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, George Krol, visited Kazakhstan.  He was in Almaty on October 28, where met with his colleagues in the U.S. Agency for International Development and with members of civil society.  October 29-31, Deputy Assistant Secretary Krol was in Astana for meetings with Kazakhstani government officials to discuss Kazakhstan’s upcoming Chairmanship of the OSCE and other bilateral issues aimed at strengthening the strategic relationship that exists between Kazakhstan and the United States.      Transcript    Press Release
