Jurassic Steppe

DCM Kevin Milas serves pizza to Kazakhstani children at the Duman Center.

The Director of the Astana Jungle Animation Theater at Duman Entertainment Center, Bulat Mazhagulov, invited U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Kevin Milas and his assistant, Perni Reese, to bring a group of underprivileged Kazakhstani families, escorted by the Nuns of Mother Theresa, for a special day out at the park.  The tour brought the children face-to-face with “living” dinosaurs, giant spiders and insects, and King Kong.  After the hair-raising thrills and heart-pounding surprises, the tour finished in an Amazon cultural show with special effects similar to Universal Studios in Hollywood.

After the Jurassic adventure, the children enjoyed the rides, cultural show, pizza, and ice cream.  The U.S. Embassy deeply appreciates the generosity of the Jungle Animation Theater management for hosting these children, their parents, Ms. Reese, and Mr. Milas.
