USG Alumni Commemorated Earth Day with Akkol Orphanage Kids On May 2, a group of alumni of U.S. government exchange programs U.S. Embassy staffers visited Akkol, a small village near Astana, to conduct an educational activity for children aimed at raising awareness of environmental and health issues. The event was organized by Kuralai Seitalina, a UGRAD alumna, to commemorate Earth Day.

Full House For American Jazz On April 22, the Jazz I Am band, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, performed a standing-room only concert at the Opera and Ballet Theater in Astana.
